【綜合報導】美國奧克拉荷馬州最近受到大批蟋蟀侵襲。逾十萬隻蟋蟀湧出街頭，攀附在街道和牆壁、飛入餐廳和商店，令人毛骨悚然。當地居民恐慌這是「末日凶兆」，但專家表示，因為氣候異常，今夏天氣炎熱及乾旱，導致泥土龜裂，蟋蟀才會飛出來。

昆蟲學家表示，當地過了7月和8月的雨季後，天氣變得酷熱難耐，泥土乾旱到裂開，加上正值蟋蟀交配季節，導致大量蟋蟀湧現。它們由8月底開始在當地出現，預計兩個月後會飛走。雖然蟋蟀湧現，讓街道恍如鋪滿一層黑膜，但專家表示不會對人類造成傷害。

由於蟋蟀會吃同類屍體果腹，專家也呼籲居民避免踩死它們，免得蟋蟀不斷繁衍。
