多平台《戰地風雲 4》公佈圖像絕美的「Frostbite 3」介紹影片

　　EA DICE 的研發部門專為開發遊戲引擎而獨立出來的公司 Frostbite，日前公佈 PC／PS3／Xbox 360／PS4／Xbox One 版 FPS《戰地風雲 4》（Battlefield 4）所使用的最新遊戲引擎「Frostbite 3」介紹影片。

　　2006 年開發並用於《戰地風雲：惡名昭彰》的第一代遊戲引擎「Frostbite」，是為了使用在其他 EA DICE 出品遊戲改良而成的產品；2011 年使用了加強版「Frostbite 2 Engine」的《戰地風雲 3》則自發行以來，在現今遊戲市場中一直維持最佳品質口碑。
　　最新型遊戲引擎 Frostbite 3 則是針對次世代圖像的改良而開發，支援從 iPhone 到次世代主機的遊戲開發，普及性強也是其特色之一。而實際上該款引擎在 EA 旗下的賽車遊戲《Need for Speed: Rivals》、RTS《Command & Conquer》 以及RPG《Dragon Age III: Inquisition》等作品中也都有吃重的演出。

　　此次公佈的影片介紹了 Frostbite 3 一部份傲人性能，例如當樹木因爆風而劇烈搖晃時，之前的程式會隨著場景變化進行細部調整，而 Frostbite 3 則是遊戲引擎半自動地管理整體地圖，將氣象及因爆炸而產生的風速變化以更動態的方式呈現，風速概念也同時帶動了雲層及海面的變化，更真實地傳達了大自然震撼人心的一面。另外，角色表情動畫等細部表現力也大幅改良，讓玩家耳目一新。
