氣象局：地震屬板塊擠壓不需太擔心

【王玉樹／台北報導】對於上午7時51分發生在花蓮外海的芮氏規模5.6地震，中央氣象局表示，這起地震是菲律賓板塊與歐亞板塊擠壓關係，而規模5以上地震每年有30個以上，民眾不需感到太擔心。  

至於台北會感覺搖晃比較久，氣象局認為，應該是此地震所傳出來的長周期波，該波長會使住在高樓民眾感覺晃動，有如搭船，例如2008年的四川汶川大地震發生後，101大樓即感受到對岸傳來的長周期波，大樓裡的人感覺就像在坐船。
