2000年來天災 共造成2.5兆美元經濟損失

聯合國15日公布報告指出，2000年來洪水、地震和乾旱等災害共造成約2.5兆美元經濟損失，比先前的預測高至少50%，並警告如果企業未採取行動降低對災害的曝險，數字將繼續上升。

報告指出，2012年的颶風珊蒂、2011年泰國洪災和日本的地震與海嘯等重大災害，使災害對民間企業影響漸增的現象浮上檯面。在全球化和對成本、生產力及交貨速度的要求驅使下，企業紛紛進軍易受災害襲擾的地區，幾乎或完全不思考這麼做對全球供應鏈的影響。

根據聯合國新開發的全球風險模型，本世紀光是地震和颶風平均每年將帶來約1,800億美元損失。這項數據不包含洪水、山崩、大火和暴雨造成的損失。
