大逆轉！8歲妹遭刺死　13歲兄成兇手

美國上月27日發生8歲女童Leila Fowler（佛兒）在家中遭刺死案，原本警方依據當時同在家中的12歲哥哥說法，鎖定闖入家中的灰髮男子，在小鎮及鄰近地區展開地毯式搜索；但周六案情卻大逆轉，警方宣布，已將哥哥逮捕，準備依謀殺罪名起訴他。
 
這起兇殺案發生加州北方、人口僅7400人的平靜小鎮溫泉谷（Valley Springs）；當時哥哥與妹妹獨自待在家中，父母外出觀賞小聯盟球賽。
 
哥哥當時告訴警方，他和妹妹發現有名闖入者，身材高，留著長灰髮；警方雖調查發現，沒有遭人強行闖入的跡象，仍展開逐門逐戶的大規模搜索。
 
直到周六下午，警方臨時召開記者會，宣布已逮捕哥哥，並要社區居民可以安心睡覺，警方說「經歷2000個小時的調查，現在已經找到芙勒為何死亡的答案了」。
