有關清河堂族譜問題

各位大大

請教前輩們
如果想到廣東梅州尋根
要準備哪些資料啊?
或是跟哪些單位聯繫?
才能確保所尋找的根是正確的
目前手頭只有族譜一份
記載清河堂張氏一些簡單的資料而已
例如來台祖是十八世祖德麒公
目前已到了25代(永字輩)
24代(生字輩)
23代(肇字輩)
資料相當有限
懇請各位先進
